Facts: Kaitlyn Savage is the reigning Goalkeeper in Australia's W-League. The Florida International University graduate comes from the Glenfield Rovers FC in New Zealand. Since the Washington native is playing abroad, US Soccer requires an International Transfer Certificate, despite her American citizenship. Read more about the rules.

What they're saying: According to the Orlando Pride's press release, Pride Head Coach Tom Sermanni had this to say:

“I am delighted to have Kaitlyn joining us for the remainder of the season. We are fortunate to be able to bring in such an experienced and elite goalkeeper at this stage of the season,” Sermanni said. “Her successful professional playing background in Iceland and Australia will be invaluable under our surest circumstances.”

From the same release, Kaitlyn Savage echoed Sermanni's excitement:

Analysis: The Orlando Pride dodged a major bullet in getting the standout shot-stopper. Though the loss of Aubrey Bledsoe is disappointing, Savage is an extremely capable professional.
